Ref: IPTIF/TD/IP/001

This project aims at energy-efficient distributed estimation and control of networked robots and its VLSI implementation architectures. First, a mathematical model of networked wheeled robots and transmission scheduling of measurements would be addressed. Then, distributed state estimation and control algorithms in various noisy environments with energy-efficient measurement transmissions would be developed. The estimation algorithms would be reformulated to make them VLSI friendly, followed by VLSI implementation. The developed architectures would be applied on a network of robots using FPGA prototypes and compared with the existing results in the literature with the setup designed.
